Henna Östberg on the Tyks Project and Collaboration with SAPA

Alutec Oy and Their Focus My name is Henna Östberg, and I’m the Sales Manager at Alutec Oy. We are a family-owned company specializing in aluminum and glass constructions, primarily operating within Finland’s manufacturing and construction industry.

A Large and Significant Project The Tyks project, also known as the Kompassisairaala project, was a major undertaking for us. We delivered over 600 square meters of facades and windows, as well as more than 100 aluminum doors.

Focus on Safety and Sustainability The obvious key requirement was the U-value, taking Finland’s climate into account. Since the building is a hospital, there were also specific safety standards that had to be met. This included doors with EI60 fire protection rating, as well as a variety of door solutions where safety was a central concern. The goal was to ensure that everyone in the building feels secure, both inside and outside.
