NRGY 62

Aluminium "PassivHaus" Curtain Walling

NRGY 62 - Sapa's innovative "PassivHaus" 62mm aluminium facade system.

A high performance building skin is key to achieve zero energy buildings. High insulated and airtight façade systems contribute largely to preserve energy. By adding solar shading, controlling the opening parts and integrating decentralized ventilations, the use of energy is minimal.

NRGY 62 is an innovative facade system that combines smart aluminium profile design with the demands of contemporary building design.

It allows large glass sizes to maximize light penetration. The system encompasses a wide range of aluminium curtain wall solutions and facilitates easy integration of various infills, concealed vents, photovoltaics and ventilation.

Reasons to buy

  • Insulation levels up to "Passivhaus" standards to minimise energy consumption whilst maximising user comfort.
  • The ability to use "Live Loads"
  • Glass loads can be larger than ever (up to 680kg)
  • Incorporated "Decentralised" ventilation systems for healthy, modular and energy efficient building ventilation.
  • All components are rigorously selected for their environmental impact and contribution to energy efficiency. Recycled aluminium accounts of 50% of Sapa’s global production.

The Passivhaus methodology

As of July 2013, Sapa Building System and relevant products are members of the PassivHaus Trust. The Passivhaus Trust is an independent, non-profit organisation that provides leadership in the UK for the adoption of the Passivhaus standard and methodology.

The Passive House Institute (PHI) is an independent research center that has played a crucial role in the development of the passive House concept - the Worlds only performance based energy standard in construction. The Passivhaus Institute is responsible for promoting and maintaining the Passive House - Passivhaus building program.

ift Rosenheim is an internationally acting scientific service provider for manufacturers of windows, curtain walls, glass, pedestrian, industrial and commercial doors and gates and all accessories. ift Rosenheim performs tests for the fitness for use of building components and various materials depending on their field of application.
