Welcome to Sapa at Nordbygg 2020
Reduce CO2. Improve safety. Increase comfort.
Nordbygg will be held in Stockholm on 20-23 April 2021. Nordbygg is one of Europe’s largest and most dynamic meeting places for the construction and real estate industry, attracting around 900 exhibitors and nearly 48,000 visitors. Once again, Sapa will be there presenting product solutions that help improve the quality and environmental friendliness of open façade systems. The building systems provider will show how its whole range of windows, doors, sliding doors and glass façades can help reduce overall CO2 emissions and raise energy production while utilising the most important functions in the façade.
Low-carbon building façades
In 2018 Sapa’s owner Hydro launched its new aluminium alloy, Hydro CIRCAL 75R. The alloy consists of at least 75% recycled post-consumer scrap recovered from façades and windows dismantled from buildings. This prime quality alloy has one of the highest contents of recycled post-consumer scrap currently available on the market. Today Sapa supplies glass façades made of this alloy. At Nordbygg, Sapa will explain how solar panels can easily be integrated into this low-carbon façade, and which other products are available in this alloy.
Sapa will also present new products made from Hydro REDUXA, a low-carbon aluminium that, when used in combination with renewable energy sources such as hydropower, can reduce the carbon footprint per kg aluminium to less than a quarter of the global average. Visitors at the fair can learn more about the different alloys from the technical consultants at our stand, and in our industry seminars.
Fire-resistant buildings increase safety for people and the environment
High-quality buildings offer optimal solutions for users, owners and the environment. Safety is a crucial aspect of building quality. Fire doors are one of the most important fire safety products in a building. They prevent smoke from spreading through the building in the event of fire and play a crucial role in allowing residents, visitors and employees to safely evacuate the building. Simply put, fire doors are the building’s way of delaying the spread of fire. This is one of Sapa’s key focus areas. At the fair we will present a revolutionary new fire and burglary prevention system, and visitors can attend industry seminars.
New windows – same product range
At the fair Sapa will present two new windows with completely different application areas. A new solution will be available for architects wanting to recreate the original look of, for instance, a factory building. A full-size version of the new window will be exhibited at Sapa’s stand. Sapawill also present a new window with integrated solar shading that is easy to access, adjust and install. Designed in collaboration with Hunter Douglas, it meets needs within a large sector of the window market.
New sliding systems in the Sapa Selection
The Sapa Selection offers private customers a selection of premium windows, doors and glass façades. At Nordbygg, Sapa will launch two new sliding and folding doors that place increased focus on design and comfort. The exclusive Artline XL, a slim sliding door with inset frames, will also be presented, along with a brand new range of designer handles specially dedicated to Sapa Selection customers.
Sapa is committed to simplifying and rationalising its manufacturers’ production processes, for instance by means of digitalisation. For this purpose, two new digital tools for Sapa’s manufacturers will be launched at Nordbygg. Sapa Technic gives manufacturers easy, direct access to up-to-date technical information at all times, while TechDesign by Sapa opens up a whole new world of planning and calculation. The tools will be presented in the digital area of Sapa’s stand, and at Sapa’s seminars.
