After a long search process, the City of Kajaani chose as the location for the new Water Sports Center an area along the Kajaaninjoki River, across from the market square, in the immediate vicinity of the city center. The Kaukametsä Culture Center and Scandic Hotel were already situated in the area. An underground passageway connects the Water Sports Center to both of these.
Ranheim School has a fantastic location by the sea in the Ranheim Fjord, where Sjøskogbekken flows into the Trondheim Fjord. The project is the result of a project competition that Lusparken Arkitekter won together with HENT in June 2008.
The Nunnan neighborhood consists of different housing bodies from different eras. The goal of the extension has been for the viewer to experience an exciting whole that was previously missing. Close and intensive collaboration between the builder, architect and urban architect has been a success factor in finding a functioning dynamic between modern architecture, the theater building from 1849, the concert hall and existing building bodies in the neighborhood.

The New Frida School is a vision of a hut up among the trees where it resembles the world tree Yggdrasil - the tree of knowledge - from whose branches works the dew of knowledge over all the school's students. You start your schooling at the bottom of the ground level in zero and one and as you advance you climb higher and higher and reach the age of eight and can soon stand on their own legs.
