Why aluminium?

Aluminium is the third most common element in the Earth’s crust. The supply of this metal can be regarded as unlimited, since about 8% of the Earth’s crust consists of aluminium in the form of different minerals. In order to reduce the environmental impact, the mining is often done in a square pattern, where untouched areas interlace with open pits.

Nearly 100% of aluminium can be recycled. When recycling aluminium, the remelting process requires only about 5% of the energy required for the production of the primary metal. Thus, the aluminium products we use today make a future source of the material. Our building systems consists to a great extent of recycled metal.

Considering its weight, aluminium is a strong and durable material. Products made of aluminium profiles require minimum maintenance.

Sapa's building systems made of aluminium make it possible to minimize the maintenance requirements and provide reliable functions, which is appreciated by both the property owners and the tenants.
